Blue Water Meditation

By Donald Quixote

By Donald QuixotePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Sitting cross-legged

Half Lotus

On hard rock

Next to falling water

Flowing jade.

Eternal sound

In the soundless void;

Stream of moment

Source to mouth

But it never ends.

Where is the beginning?

Aha! The answer lies

With consciousness

Original Mind –

Only this Mind knows

The mind body of water

Buddha Mind of moments

Womb Mind of Time itself.

Rock seems hard

To Ape Mind of Man Kind

Body of sinew

Epidermal veneer

Bone structure

Flesh and sex.

Rocks like stepping stones

On which we climb

Searching for answers

In the pine needle void.

One wrong step and

Feet sink into deep mud

Air squeezed out

Shoes lost in the depths

Footprints already ancient.

Root of soil is rock

Root of softness is hardness;

Refusing water’s advances

Rock hardens again –

Tomorrow’s boulders on the shore

Weight of ocean floor –

Tomorrow’s desolate mountain peak

Bound in snow

Clouds just drifting by.

Behind everything

A golden light burns

Through the edges

The connections

Mutual

Interdependent

Everything in relationships.

True Mind of Being

No Matter of Reality

Movement means

No separation

Between

Hard and soft

You and I

Life and death

Mind and awareness –

Dharmakaya.

Sweeping away illusions

What do I find in the emptiness?

Insect calls

Birdsong

Lotus petals

Fallen orchids

Floating in turquoise waters

Forever flowing on

Silent waves

Back to the heart of the void.

surreal poetry

About the Creator

Donald Quixote

Hopeless romantic,

adventurer in paradox;

so it goes
