Blue

The oceans truth

By Robert mackennaPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Her waters are farther

and we see the imposter

cultivated from the dark mud fostered

can you see the sky ?

can you hear the waves a crashing by?

salty scotch in my cup

the oceans flavor keeps me sprung

Colorado living ,reddened eyes

the souls surprise

epitomized

You see those ocean eyes

that blue lil pill I used to think I should be prescribed

all those times I almost died

the blue of the doctors scrubs

in the hospital when I woke up

the blues I try and bury

sometimes depressions too heavy to carry

I know the blues is cut

let some red hues expand

a purple born of the sun

look within these hands

remember what's up

In the oceans depths I feel loved

I drown away my sins

with a taste of islay whisky

I breathe briskly

drowning in a dram

feeling condemned

The way I ascend

I'll be back again

to have baby blues that transform to hazel

tell me you know the Angel's in the angle

surreal poetry
