Blue at Sea

A Visual Poem

Blue at Sea | A Visual Poem

Push Me Away

But where will I go

you can only push me so far

until you get to the end of the rope

Push Me Away

So you can pretend I'm not there

But if I'm still around

so is the fear

Push Me Away

All of the pain you caused

You can leave behind

Push Me Away

But I am still here

Starting to fight now

So there is something

You should fear

Not your freedom

Or your life

It's your comfort zone

And my rights...

The Blue Mermaid

is fearless

she knows she doesn't belong

on land

But she also knows

there is a force

pulling her out

and calling her for

something greater

So she pushes through

And tries not to think

about what she is

leaving behind

and the challenges

she will face

But instead

About all the good

that will come

from her journey.
