Following in your footsteps

I won’t be your next whore

dressed in a chic glitter and gold

washing a dirty bucket

and throwing splashes

under the sink

with all the garbage of your sins –

blue like my soul around you

yet I doubt you could ever feel it

or imagine

the way I received it

Accusations, abuse, abandonment

instead of a truly loving friend

whose job was to protect his family

and I wasn’t needed in the scenery

of a false reality

A life chosen only for yourself

as you have never given a serious thought

about me as your significant part

I was an extra toy

that you could swap at any time

for a new, better one

tailored to your needs

to the last drop of your sick destiny

So, what was I for, if not for all of this?

Anything you cared about

was sex, rock’n’roll, and cigarettes –

unhealthy items if overused

out of the shame of your own desire
