Blue

BLUE

Blue are the ocean's,

Blue are the sky's.

Blue are the sea's,

Blue are my eye's.

So many flowers are coloured with blue,

Clematis, columbine, and cornflower too,

Gentian, starflower, love-in-a-mist,

Morning glory, chicory, so many to list!

Bluebells, blue orchid, blue flower galore,

With iris, Lupine, and so many more!

Blue is the colour of sapphire ore,

Lapis lazuli, diamonds at the store.

Blue macaws, peacocks, bluebirds, blue herons,

Blue jays, kingfishers, and even blue parrots,

So many birds are sporting blue feathers,

So many stones are shiny blue treasures.

Under the sea you'll find many blue creatures,

A reef full of fish with many blue features!

I could go on and on about the colourful blue,

Such a wonderful colour in every hue!

Often times blue is linked with depression,

Associating with the saddest of every expression,

For me however, it's a harmonic progression,

Endless opportunity with a simple impression.
