Blood Tears

Blood tears stream from my shattered heart,

Never imagined we would be worlds apart.

You vowed forever as you held me tight,

But your departure proved you were never right.

Your words of love with that piercing stare,

Nothing but a frigid falsehood to bear.

The gentle touch, the tender kiss,

Memories of you, now an abyss.

As I sit and ponder of what we once knew,

I weep, realizing it's long overdue.

I should have let the tears flow before,

But my love for you, I couldn't ignore.

Love may be blind, as they say,

But my heart had you in every way.
