Unperturbed by the waves of the world,
I sailed against the crashing tide,
Surrounded by friends, by family,
Convinced i had all i needed inside.
Then, without warning, a blade from behind,
Who among the pack would do such a thing?
Hurt by not my burning heart,
But the agony of knowing --
It was my own crew who'd let the dagger sink.
About the Creator
Anu's Quill
I’m just an existential wanderer who happened to stumble into poetry. I think about writing more than I actually write—not the best poet, but trying to get better, word by word, as I share my thoughts and voice.
