A solid mass, of wood or stone

A obstacle sturdy, that stands alone

It blocks our path, with a steadfast face

A challenge to overcome, a test of our pace

But blocks can also, be building blocks too

Foundation stones, that help our dreams come true

They stack upon each other, to form a wall

A barrier to protect, a boundary to enthrall

Like life's obstacles, that block our way

We must find a way, to overcome each day

To build upon, the blocks that we find

And turn them into stepping stones, that lead to our shine
