Blink Twice
If you need help
Give and take
Sadly, madly
Receive, deceive
Love and war
Chanting, panting
Room spinning,
It winning
Again and
Again and
Again and
Waves crashing
hopes dashing
Heart breaking
It slaking
Thirst, It
Comes first
It claims and maims
Pulls and pushes
Trades trust
For thrust
Insatiable lust
Lovelorn
Love lost
Crying, lying, dying
All part of
The game.
It wins, It skins
Them alive
Ecstasy to anger
And back, the lack
Of self, now on the shelf
Grey is the new
blue
It grins because It wins
Over and
Over and
Over.
She sees It
Leering, jeering
Taunting, flaunting
Its prize, close eyes
Heartstrings scream
Pulling taut
They start to snap
From the shot.
Don’t look now,
be like Lot
But they’ll not
turn to stone
On the spot.
It’s all free will,
Instead of His will
being done, for fun
Turn a deaf ear
So as not to hear
Throw Love away
For Lust to stay
Trading unconditional
For conditional
Pleasure over
Treasure
A wild ride
On the path so wide
Request a sign
from God
As they stand
Before you
Outstretched hands
Three cry,
Heaven weeps
One keeps hope
Tied to the rope
On a raft on the sea
As they walk back
To shore,
one and Three.
It hates this one
Who knows It’s ways
And smells It
It thinks
It has won
Its lurid grip tight
No time to rest
There’s a soul to wrest
Away from It
The lamb comes in peace
But not afraid to fight

Wow, this is brilliant! While reading I was thinking "hmm, I could rap it" which is probably not true, but this poem was really like rap! I loved it!😊
