I never learned to blend,

My shades never lose ink.

They don't know their color to lend,

or to let their own sink.

-

The black is black, the white, white.

and none can ever cease.

And try as hard as they might,

their wit won't ever tease.

-

Too strong and proud to let go,

debating a silent cause.

They'll never stop to know

their strength or flaws.

-

And they'll have their points

but they will never live.

For, if they don't find their joints,

They won't get, for they won't learn to give.

This poem made me reflect on how we often get trapped in our own thoughts and beliefs. You have beautifully written that true understanding of life comes when we step out of our limitations and try to understand and give to others. Your words carry a simple yet profound message. If we let go of stubbornness and rigidity, we will find more depth and satisfaction in life. This is truly remarkable.
