Blame Seekers
We are sometime deceived by our perceptions.

The Blame Seekers
When fear wraps tight around the soul,
And shadows in the heart take toll,
They scan the room, eyes sharp with dread,
To find a place where blame is fed.
An anxious heart, restless and raw,
Seeks shelter in a fatal flaw:
To cast a target, name a sin,
And carve the guilt upon the skin.
The friend who stayed through endless nights,
Becomes the foe beneath harsh lights.
The partner, patient, strong, and kind,
Now wears the fault they've been assigned.
But blame is never safe, you see;
It twists the roots of loyalty.
Each pointed finger burns a bridge,
Each bitter word, a widening ridge.
What if instead of blame and fire,
They dared to name their heart's desire?
To seek not culprits, but embrace,
And let the fear find gentler space?
For love can't thrive where blame takes root;
It wilts beneath that bitter fruit.
But honesty, though hard to sow,
Can heal the wounds and help us grow.
