Blah, Blah And So On

Restless On Repeat

Tongue twisters test and taunt me to wrangle with some words

Mixing my minds many memes, for something you’ve never heard

Can’t promise that you’ll like it, no guarantees, just quips

But save your negativity, Or I’ll pop you on the lips

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that, It’s just, I can’t seem to fall asleep

I’ve been counting kidney stones, when I should be counting sheep

I go first thing tomorrow, to have them all removed

I must be feeling anxious, typically, I’m not this rude

So kindly, please forgive me, I’m sure my next poem will be deep

For now I’m feeling cranky, trying hard, to go to sleep

Good work. Quite the poem of life I suppose. I have written tongue twisters and I believe I have published some here on Vocal.

  • Oh no, I hope you get to sleep. Loved your poem!

Hope you feel better soon but this was a great piece!

  • Kind of funny, kind of sad, the kidney stone will drive you mad. As you toss and turn, you will one day learn, they can be removed when it’s your turn! I hope this poem helps, and your kidney stones won’t give you the yelps. Be safe, be good, and feel better soon, my friend. The end!

  • HandsomelouiiThePoet has a much better way of getting stoned, Kelli. You're in my thoughts & prayers. And as for getting popped on the lips, I guess for most of us it would depend upon what you popped them with. (Though I also assume we would have a wide array of answers for that.)

Crisp and sharp held up by the gentle flow - a simply beautiful piece
