Pour over coffee

Depresses, I think about

Dark, bitter feelings

Notes from the Author:

I wrote this one morning while I was making coffee. The parallels between negative emotions and the process of making a cuppa were clear.

I have named this poem, “Black Water,” after one of my favourite songs by one of my favourite bands, Timber Timbre. It’s off their 2011 album, “Creep On Creepin’ On.

Thanks so much for reading, and listening if you cared to explore the musical selection!

Here is an uplifting one I think you’d enjoy!

Very cool! Funny that you specifically mention "pour over"...I definitely find that at times in my life where I'm feeling more on top of things, I take time for the ritual of pour overs and grinding fresh beans and pretty mugs. The rest of the time, it's drivethrough coffee or keurig.

Ooh I like this one. I ironically just ordered a coffee before I read it 😂
