Black Rabbits

Beating Hearts And Ticking Clocks

Noir Art

Unimaginable moments, stir tedious beats

of ravaged hearts, leaning over the edges

Broken apart by a beast of the least

self serving, doing what ere he pleases

**

Discarded and crumpled, a refuse to ignore

revealing unlovely beauty marks

Promises made, left to decay on the floor

becoming something sinister in the dark

**

The universe dances, adding curves to maneuver

begging for a partner to carry a tune

Giving no guarantees the path will get any smoother

black rabbits scheming, neath the moon

**

So, where will we go, as the world careens

I guess sooner or later we'll know

All the secrets that still somehow remain unseen

and the freedom from just letting go

Love how it drops off at 'least' then picks back up. 'Something sinister in the dark' Love this line. I love the nod to the autumn leaves here too. The promises in place of the leaf. Black rabbits scheming. Oh this is a symbol of something. Someone. A rather large group of people. I think I know the kind. 'The freedom from just letting go.' when I got to the last line. It gave me a feeling that you know that we now know, what you are referring to. Love this. Very well thought out 🤗❤️

In a way this would make a great poem for Halloween somehow.
