Black Mysticism
Black history month.

My black is immortal-
It’s spiritual.
My melanin mysticism will gather all;
And when it leads unbelievers to evangelistic wars,
I never conquer the crusade alone.
I'm the shade of royalty;
The color purple is in my nativity.
I don’t know anything besides being black,
and radical, and loud and, culture
and cliché and defiant -
Defiant of odds, stereotypes and systems.
Then, sit in the council of my melanin wisdom
breathe in the content of my works.
