Junco have you heard?

The bird feeder are flowing

Eat, winter is near.

****

Junco, do not hide

Hawk hunter is on the fly

Enjoy your calm sky.

****

Junco bird ponders

Watching, waiting, for the sun,

To light the heavens.

*****

The Black-Eyed Junco is a beautiful bird with a high-pitched, soft-toned tweet. What I love about this bird is its soft grey body with pink bill—it's an elegant bird. I find their song to be very peaceful, and if you would like to have a listen, below is a link to a YouTube video that gives you a good idea of their sound.

Here, here. now let the little birds who stay have something to eat. Great work and praise to birdlovers everywhere.

From one birdlover to another: well-wrought! The balck-eyed junco's call has some qualities that remind me of laughter.

  • Awww the Junco is sooo adorable! Loved your Haikus!

Love the haikus and I love the Juncos. We had the Oregon variety at out feeders regularly when we lived on the West Coast!
