In the chill of the wind, a whisper so cold,
Bitterly, shadows creep through the night,
Veiling the stars, dimming their light.
Shattering dreams, unraveling the seam.
Echoes of laughter, now distant and faint,
Memories tainted, with sorrow they paint.
Once vibrant hues, now faded and gray,
Lost in the echoes of yesterday.
A heart once warm, now hardened by pain,
Bearing the scars, like a haunting refrain.
Yet within the darkness, a flicker remains,
A glimmer of hope amidst the chains.
For even in bitterness, strength can be found,
To rise from the ashes, to break the ground.
