She vaped in my tea

the mango, to sweeten the lemon.

I take it as it comes.

Lemon heating wounds and honey dripping from the cup.

Sure, it is better like that.

For weeks now I have skipped work,

with time, learned the names of the flowers

we planted in the front yard.

The sun is too much, and the opening of the window so little,

I haven't been programmed for strength, I am afraid.

For weeks now, I have been home

reading the growth of plants and learning

the patterns of bubbles made by fish. Weeks,

and Life, kind this time, let me be as I came.
