Five arrives just as the night pulls across the sky
To touch the earth with the kiss of darkness
And the round earth belly
Rises up to capture the moment of stillness
Five arrives around the corner
in a May breeze of chestnut bud
Lilac and hawthorn
A heady intoxication
Five arrives through your lover's voice
Coaxing you out to play
Caressing the curves
Tickling the recesses of your ear
And touching your heart
Five arrives in the dilation of your lover's pupils
Drawing you in
To the beginning
And smiles right through you
With sharp desire
Five brings a thirst that cannot be quenched
Save through you.
