Birds of a feather...

Flock together

By Susannah Peareth-KinstonPublished 9 months ago 1 min read
I have looked for feathers

Think when you said we were like birds of a feather

I am not sure whether

You meant that we are both broken mirrors

Both twins in some ways, the other part of the broken glass- still shimmers

I think maybe you need to see whether you also have the thing like me

The creative, moody, impulsive, charismatic ADHD

I think that your decision is short sighted and stupid

And even though you don’t seem to care, and see me as almost putrid

What if, just by happenstance- you do still care?

Then we are both unnecessarily drowning, gasping for air….

heartbreak

About the Creator

Susannah Peareth-Kinston

I am a mother of two boys, a librarian and a poet.

I hope to make some poetry connections here and maybe even have it as a side hustle. I do it for the cathartic release I get from writing it.

I write about love, friendship and ADHD.
