I searched the world over…
Maps, online queries
All the beautiful places, enticing faces
Nothing called my soul
And then
You.
Feeling like home
A child’s memories
Warm days, hot nights
Cooled by morning
Bimini
So obvious, so perfect
Water of my blood
Sand I’m used to
Hemingway knew
Ferry no less
Drive beyond the past
Rain, tears, live for the laughter
Swim through the fears
Fish in water
Beautiful boneyard
Another ship wrecked
Heart shattered, hope scattered
Stars above, seabed below
No other place to go
About the Creator
Wendi Christner
There’s a bit of Southern grit in everything I write.
