BIG MAN, little feelings

A toxically masculine encounter

Does it make you feel “big”, to make me small?

To walk around tall, even though you constantly fall?

Some call it masculinity,

I call it cowardice.

When you belittle me it makes you feel a proudness.

When you toss me away like rags, I cast my white flag.

When you lay down and have your way with me, doesn't it make you gag?

I’m just an object anyway, how can I feel anyway?

Like an abandoned child, I feel neglected.

Like a loveless person, I am not protected

Like a seed crushed to dust, I make no fuss.

When you steal my energy, does it make you trust?

When you slam me down to the ground, you don't hear the sound?

When you tell me I’m nothing, does it make you feel like something?

To feel satisfied, you must do more than take.

You must pour into yourself all you expect from others.

To feel satisfied, you must repair what you break.

You must pour into yourself what you lack most, lover.

You play both sides and now you must decide, this life or another?
