On a sunny day
I will journey to a big bay
The sun that shines
My mind unwinds
I enjoy my time
On this day
Sitting in front of a big bay
Some days I write
Some days I type
Other times I take a nap
Sometimes I'm joined by a cat
I don't know what else you want me to say
But I will always enjoy sitting in front of a big bay
If there is a street, I will watch the cars go by
If there is a street, I will see the neighbors, as they wave "Hi"
If there is a street, I will see the heat rise off the road
If there is a street, I will see animals cross, from squirrels, to chipmunks, and even a toad
Somedays I'm busy, my head clear, I'm in no fog
Other days I slouch and slump, like a bump on a log
Sun Days I like, people always have something that's going on
Rain Days I like, nature's soundtrack, a perfect song
I walk towards the chair
There's somebody there
I go to usurp
A cat looks at me, rolls over, and chirps
I move to one side, the cat to the other
If the cat leaves, it leaves, with my love I will not smother
I push a button to lift up the leg rest
The cat crawls between my legs. We both nap, for it is the best.
On any day
I will say
Whether it's good or bad
Whether I'm happy or mad
I will go to reflect and meditate
Sometimes staring out the window of a big bay
I can watch the wind make trees and its leaves sway
I can watch the children run around and play
I can always see what goes on in the night
I can see the visitors at my door, from deer to raccoons. I'm the one that give them a fright.
Not just a wall with a ceiling and a door in the way
I must say, that I enjoy basking in front of a Big Bay
