Bias

We live in a biased world, yeah it’s true,

In the things we eat, stuff that we do,

The shows we watch, the friends we pursue,

Even our dreams are influenced by what we think through.

Bias can be a pull or a quiet sway,

Nudging us softly night and day,

Or it’s a tendency, a lean,

Titling towards what is favored, though unseen.

Is it just me or others too?

Well, it happens to everyone, admit or not,

Who’s your bias? What are you biased with?

It’s a mystery that shapes our thoughts.

Jennie? Lisa? Rose or Jisoo?

Celebs so many, beyond just black and pink,

I’m biased toward Aries and cat lovers,

Can’t explain, just the vibe, a bond that links.

Bias colors how we see and choose,

The steps we take, the paths we use,

Bias is there in the stories we tell,

In everything we follow and everything we label.

But here’s the thing, we hold the key,

Bias is what we make it be,

We seek fairness, so tread fairly,

Let’s shape a world where kindness meets bias equally.

InsyaAllah we can and we shall fulfill,

For we are God’s gifted creature with intelligence, heart and will.
