BEYOND

....

By T. LichtPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Beyond... I sit and ponder.... roll it over on my tongue and mind

what lies beyond my dreams, my visions, my goals

beyond the bridge I think I can cross....

beyond the ball of fear lodged in my throat... beyond...what lies beyond the perimeters people have placed to guard us from imaginary monsters and monotonous moons that will hold night hostage forever... beyond

beyond the holes in my heart tunneling toward tension, trouble... and tomato red anger...

beyond the illusion of rainbows and mirror mazes

beyond the need to be perfect and pretty and personable to every person I meet...

by now the word reads awkward on my lips and weird in my ears

beyond... beyond what's possible... beyond what I think is possible... beyond the years I've lived this life... what lies there...

beyond mars and stars and galaxies and universes... beyond what my imagination can explore... beyond the lens of life .... beyond... far beyond the life I'm living now and the life I can never live... G-d beyond...

what lies beyond all the things I can't ever experience... Oh G-d please take my wandering mind there...beyond... far far beyond...

Beyond, the curiosity and drive that propels all artist, explorers and scientist. The human need to know. It’s very good.
