BETTER DAYS AHEAD
In the midst of the darkness and despair,
When life's burdens feel too heavy to bear,
Remember this, my friend, and do not despair,
Better days are coming, and they're almost here.
Though the road ahead may be winding and long,
And your heart may feel heavy with sorrow's song,
Believe me when I say, you must stay strong,
Better days are coming, and they won't be long.
The sun will rise again, and the world will turn,
And the light that once flickered will brightly burn,
For every night must end, and every heart will learn,
Better days are coming, and the tide will turn.
So hold your head high, and keep your spirit pure,
For the trials of today will soon be obscure,
And the hope that once faded will be reborn and sure,
Better days are coming, and the future is secure.
The clouds that once loomed heavy and gray,
Will part to reveal the brightness of a new day,
And the trials that once tormented will fade away,
Better days are coming, and they're here to stay.
So take heart, my friend, and keep your faith strong,
For the journey may be tough, but you'll never be wrong,
Better days are coming, and they won't be long,
And your heart will sing again, with a joyful song.
