Betrayal

Trust broken

In the theater of trust, a play unfolds,

A drama scripted, tales untold.

Beneath the veneer of camaraderie,

Betrayal takes its treacherous glee.

The orchestration of deceit takes flight,

A symphony of shadows, cloaked in night.

Facade of friendship, a masquerade,

In trust's embrace, a serpent laid.

Illusory bonds, once deemed divine,

Shattered shards in the grand design.

Perfidious whispers, a venomous art,

Inflicted wounds upon the trusting heart.

Beneath the guise of loyalty's mask,

Deceptive words, a cunning task.

In the cathedral of trust, stained glass breaks,

A covenant fractured, trust forsakes.

The dagger of betrayal, keen and cold,

Penetrates the fortress, once untold.

A sepulcher of secrets, now laid bare,

In the aftermath, the silent despair.

Promises spoken, like petals they fall,

An ephemeral dance, a treacherous sprawl.

In the tapestry of trust, a raveled strand,

A narrative tarnished, a shifting sand.

Yet, in the aftermath of this sordid play,

Resilience rises, dawns a new day.

Lessons carved in the crucible of woe,

Forge a spirit that continues to grow.

Betrayal, a tempest that leaves its scar,

Yet within the ruin, a radiant star.

A phoenix born from trust's demise,

Unfurls its wings, towards the skies.
