A free verse poem

By Nica Breeze Published 5 years ago 1 min read

Amazon popularity ranks,

Generated by algorithms

That marketing instructors

Break down for you, —

Into more pieces,

Unbreakable and scattered.

Like runaway mercury balls,

All over my mind they are splattered.

I read all this

And feel like throwing up.

Not my cup of tea.

A poison of choice?

No thanks.

I should be grateful

But ‘should’ is

The red flag word.

So instead of sweating all over it

I’m writing yet another poem

That no one will give

a SHOULD for.

About the Creator

Nica Breeze

I started writing fairy-tales before I could spell the letters right, at age 6. My fiction and poetry are about one’s private world and love-hate relationship with reality.

I emigrated to America from Eastern Europe, found home in Montana.
