Beneath the Surface

Not All Scars Are Visible

By The Content CrafterPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

I wear my scars like hidden tattoos,

In places where no one has a clue.

They’re etched in memories, not in skin,

In moments where my soul has been pinned.

The world sees a smile, a face that’s fine,

But beneath the surface, I’m crossing a line.

Each day is a battle I’ve fought in my mind,

Trying to leave the past far behind.

I’ve learned to laugh, to love, to live,

But there are pieces of me I still can’t forgive.

The pain is quiet, yet it echoes loud,

A storm inside that never allows.

I’ve been broken, but I’ve also been whole,

I’ve fought the dark and found my soul.

But some things are not meant to be seen,

They live in the spaces that remain between.

So, if you ever wonder why I’m not always whole,

It’s because there’s a story that’s part of my soul.

Not all scars are visible, not all wounds heal,

But with time, even the darkest scars reveal.
