Bella was not the start of John training dogs
and there were even times when he had an experience with frogs
Bella was his baby girls , and then he was his
Bella I thought was a she and then I learned she was a he
the name didn't fit, and Bella didn't sit
until John was the alpha
then everything changed ha
We kept the name and John told his great niece Bella that he was named after her
to believe or not, she wasn't quite sure
but after a while she accepted it
as he would only tease her more, the sh-t
She was a little girl then and now she is grown
she can return the teasing all on her own.
Bella came into a home of rabbit chokers
that is what Ojibwe's are called sometimes by the jokers
My brothers wife thought it was funny to put ears on Bella
and he didn't mind either as he was such a nice fella.
So Bella was a rabbit for halloween one year
it was so much fun, I laughed until a tear
went down my cheek
the kids all wanted to take a peek
of the big black rabbit in the house that day
especially as he matched what we were giving away
little yellow rabbits that say peep
or was that chicks that we gave for the kids to keep
Anyway, bella was quite the fella and that I know for a fact
he was the very best trained and the smartest if only I wasn't allergic and would react
Itchy ears, upset stomach and an occasional headache made it impossible
to be responsible
for a dog, or a cat or any other
However, it never stopped John from bringing in another
all his older daughter had to do was say, but you took sisters little boy
Oh no, and then she cried, and we had another toy
for John to play with, who wasn't as nice a fella as Bella
Cooper was nicknamed the pooper, and his boy loved him and was happy
to have him back in his life when with us for a school year and sappy
enough to take him with him when he left as we were planning a new home for Cooper
As a friend of ours really did appreciate Cooper, the pooper.
Bella will be the very best of the rest
and I hope we won't have any more to test
until maybe there is a cure
in the future, at a time real near here!
Then maybe we could call a kitty cat Bella
And we would have as much luck with her as Bella, the Fella.
