Being Wrapped Around The Finger

As Submitted To The Sonnet Of Shadows Challenge

By Marc OBrienPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

Emerging from the dark

An electrical matrimony spark

Filled with life

Exclaiming, ‘perfect wife’

Knowledgeable and bright

Glowing shining, dependable light

Until a fight

She said, ‘go fly a kite’

Dropping to the knees

He pleaded, ‘don’t go please’

Grinning a devious smile

Buttons she did dial

Text received

Saying ‘in love? Are we?’
