Being Politically Correct

Things You Can't Say Out Loud Challenge

There are things you just don't say

Is it called being politically correct

I have seen a lot of it in the past ten years

The murder of my son that I was so close to

When the killer was found dead in a lake

Was my silence politically correct

Or did I cry to myself - he deserved to die

Politically correct I just let other people say

That justice was now done was everyone's response

But what were they really thinking ?

A surgery that I felt shouldn't have been done

That left me handicapped and that is for life

Inside I cried butcher for hire and the fact that it was done in a hospital that had a reputation that had killer in its name

What were people really thinking that they couldn't say out loud

A suicide of a lady that was my ex-husbands wife

I verbally said I mourned it, but did I really

Was this one of the things you did not say out loud

However, in my mind did I discuss with myself how she negatively impacted my life and my children's

And what does that make me thinking badly of a deceased person

Am I really a good person

Or just politically correct about what comes out of my mouth

You Be The Judge

This is an interesting concept, because it make you delve into your subconscious and judge yourself about your inner thoughts,

And what do you see???

And do you like the person looking back at you???

Only you know your inner thoughts and what kind of person you really are.

Or are we all lost in the woods ??

Very thought-provoking and profoundly personal, Susan! I reckon it was another hard piece to write, but you did an excellent job

You delivered a punch called life in this raw, real, and HONEST assessment. Loved it! But sending hugs your way, too.

Being politically correct is killing our freedoms. I understand some things are meant to be left unsaid. But neither you nor I should have to say someone was a good person and they'll be missed, just because they died. And saying that you hope a hardened criminal suffers for their crimes shouldn't be looked down upon. But that minority is so very loud. Screaming that we shouldn't do anything but what they want. And the PC police, to keep the minority quiet and docile, tells us to act right....

Any idea that prevents us from speaking our minds is not worth it.
