Behind Lock And Key.
Love Gives You No Right, To Condition Me.
Don't wear this,
Wear that instead,
Don't hang with her,
She's not your type,
Don't cry,
You're not a baby,
You can't go out tonight,
Unless you're back by seven,
You're not doing that,
Unless you do it my way,
Do you have to wear so much makeup?
I don't like it,
Don't behave like that,
It's against my morals,
If you don't do it my way,
I'll walk out.
My heart is locked,
Eternal prison!
Not allowed to live,
Without your permission,
I can't be myself,
Unless I'm free,
True love should be given,
Unconditionally,
I'm not a child,
I don't need telling what to do,
I don't need a curfew,
Set by you,
We might be married,
Though,
You don't own me,
I wasn't bought from a shop,
So please make it stop!
I am an adult,
I make my own choices,
I choose my own friends,
It's my mind that decides how I look,
And, how I dress,
I set the bar on who I want to be,
I shouldn't have to beg,
Stop putting me,
Behind lock and key,
I'm free to make my own rules,
To live with pride and dignity,
Love gives you no right,
To condition me.
