Behind Closed Doors

The Weight of Choices

A shadow moves in the quiet night,

With hands that steal, but never fight.

Whispers echo in the cold,

A story of greed, a story untold.

The law is there, but it’s hard to see,

When the line between right and wrong fades free.

A choice made quickly, without a thought,

A life now tangled, a soul caught.

The money’s spent, the thrill’s gone cold,

But the weight of the crime never grows old.

It stays inside, deep in the chest,

A burden that won’t let you rest.

Behind closed doors, the guilt’s alive,

It eats you up, but you must survive.

In the mirror, you meet your eyes,

The reflection is a stranger in disguise.

What happens next? What’s left to prove?

When the crime’s done, it’s time to lose.

The world moves on, but you’re stuck in place,

Chasing a shadow you cannot erase.
