A journey of challenging fear with a touch of the ultimate innocence--magic.

Two girls, so close to womanhood,

decided one day to stroll through the woods.

"What if there's danger?" asked the first

while the other sighed, "You're assuming the worst."

Picking the flowers and brushing the leaves,

talks of the bustling life in these trees.

"The older we get, the less magic I see."

The other did nod her head to agree.

But, oh! As if life must play a game,

a shining green light seemed to call them by name.

A magical, small, little gem in the ground

that gave off the gentlest musical sound.

The dirt path beneath them seemed softer somehow,

and they'd no clue at all what they might have found.

"Why not take a chance and dive in head first?

Let us not always assume the worst."

Her friend gave a grin of pride and knowing

that such a decision was both magic and growing.

She confidently plucked the stone from the dirt

deciding that this couldn't possibly hurt.

'Lo and behold, by holding the gem,

she saw a small vision in the palm of her hand.

It showed her the future, and she was amazed

to see herself in such better days.

All because she had decided

not to allow any fear to reside here.
