Beauty and the Beast

Not your classic fairytale...

By Dez's Public Journal Published 5 years ago 1 min read

Sweet, endearing young girl - my god, you were a fool.

Satan showed his true face, and love never left your stubborn heart.

The beast was filled with lies. Perfect, beautiful, mesmerizing lies.

How could you not smell the betrayal every time he touched you?

Crying an ocean every day - drowning in tears.

Going to bed, worn down from mental abuse.

He fed on your innocence. He never loved you.

Even promised a future together, and yet, left you alone.

Charming, indeed. A monster, he was.

He held the door open, why did you stay?

You were beauty; he was beast.

With no petals left, it's too late.

Nothing can be changed.
