Beauty and the Beast

A Love Story

By Charlene EllisonPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

When I glance at you there is an awkwardness that makes me feel uneasy

I do not know how to approach you, because you are so beautiful

However, I am not undressing you yet does that make me sleazy

Your words are soft, and eyes are dreamy that place me in a trance

Give me a stare…a signal… to come over there to you

I would love to send a dozen roses in advance

When I look into your eyes, my heart starts to race, and I lose control

You are the epidemy of what a woman should be in caring and strong

You have taken over my mind, body, and soul

I try to get the courage to walk up to you and speak

Unfortunately, I tell myself that you are way out of my league for sure

I take a couple of steps… my knees get weak

I am intimidated by your beautiful physique

Oh no! Here she comes with a stride somewhat in a hurry

What should I do or say, or should I just stroll away

Be a man…be a gentleman… do not worry

She replies to him that she observed him watching her

She felt that he is a hairy handsome man with a not so masculine built

He dresses well…speaks intelligent and the type of man I prefer

He caresses her hands and whispers in her ear

She giggles with a sigh of reaction as if it turns her on

He said throughout years I just want you near

I have loved you since the day I met you 40 years ago

Every day you age your beauty goes beyond skin deep

Beauty calms the beast and he says they will never outgrow

Love is not easy… at times it takes everything you’ve got

Although, to have a special bond just the two of you

Be naughty at times…it keeps the relationship hot
