She walks in beauty

She smiles and everything just seems better

Her hair always falls just right

She always seems so sure of herself

She hides the truth

She cries behind closed doors

She wallows over the stretching of her skin

She tells herself she is not enough

She tells herself she needs to try hard

She wipes her tears, fixes her makeup, and leaves her solitude

She picks clothes that fit her well and people like

She stands tall and lifts her head high

She is a warrior for she knows she is not perfect

She loves her imperfections even though sometimes she forgets

She is me

I walk in beauty.
