Long locks cascading down her back, A beauty that's hard to match, Golden strands that shine and flow, A sight that makes the heart aglow.

Her hair, a masterpiece of art, Wavy, silky, and oh so smart, A crown of glory that adorns her head, A sight that fills the soul with dread.

He held her close, her hair in his arms, But his actions caused her great harm, The slaps he gave made her heart ache, And her long hair she chose to forsake.

She cut it short, a drastic change, But her beauty did not wane, For her hair, though shorter, still shone bright, A beacon of hope and inner light.

No longer trapped in his abusive grasp, She moved on, a new chapter to grasp, And though her hair was no longer long, Her spirit remained forever strong.

For beauty is not just in our hair, But in our hearts and how we care, And with each new day, we can choose, To let our inner beauty shine through.
