Beautiful eyes

Poem

By RAOMPublished 27 days ago 1 min read

Your blue beautiful eyes.

Like blue seas, where my heart lies.

Told me again that they need love.

With one glance, with one soft touch.

...

Before I kiss them, they said goodbye.

And the air smelled like burnt cinnamon high.

High enough to take my breath.

And the whole world became a soft, sweet death.

...

The stars above whisper your name.

Yet nothing remains, not love, not flame.

I reach for you in dreams I’ve crossed.

Forever trapped, forever lost.

...

Where are you now?

The words are lost.

You were all my belongings.

And I am frozen in frost.

This is so beautifully sad, especially those last two lines.
