Beachy
I love the beach, especially tide pools. There’s something magical about them to me.

Close up of a tide pool, North Myrtle Beach
I like the way the sun spills across the sand,
wet, down by the tide line
where the laughing edges of what’s left of the wave after it breaks
dance out of line in bubbles and foam,
sometimes leaving a foamy scrim
on the wet sand, down below the castles,
hermit crabs skittering away,
fiddler crabs scurrying past beached horseshoes
and an occasional flaccid jellyfish.
The tide pools bewitch me with their play of light and water,
defying the laws of physics,
these microcosms in minutae,
oceans on the beach.

Nice. Evocative and serene, with imagery that captures the quiet magic of the shoreline.
Your word elevate the magic and those lady two lines are utterly brilliant.
