Be You –
Flash! Crash. Splash. Yet life rains
Upon my face, my self, my pain –
Party-crashing the private passages of my mind,
Falling hard upon the soft parts of
My soul and hope and heart and whole.
Then from my eyes, a scream, a stream, a dream –
As lightning rips again that sky.
“Be you.” Avowed, and clouds unfurl.
Sweet Sol invokes her rainbow-gem –
Full-spectrum-glimpse of Heaven.
Colors pierce once threatening clouds –
Where violets, reds, greens, pinks and blues,
Deep umber tones of every hue,
Flash and crash and splash their pride
Into my soul, my hope, my heart, my whole.
Then courage speaks, “Be you!”
