“Be grateful.
You have a safe and secure place to sleep tonight.
Some people don’t have that luxury.”
It is so easy
to take this for granted
when we are comfortable and warm in our beds.
Unfortunately,
some people do not have a place to sleep,
many times it is through no fault of their own.
We need to take a few minutes
every day
to remember and appreciate
the warmth, comfort and security
that we have every day and night.
This will help
to build a kindness in us
towards those
who are less fortunate than us.
It is good
for our mental health
to reflect
on these necessary things in life.
They make life ‘brighter’ every day.
We must learn
to be grateful
for the simple things in our lives.
