Be a Light

Brightly Shining

By Kristina Kirby Published 5 years ago 1 min read
Yellow like the sun

Shall I be a light

While in repair

Care

Indeed

You know me

A candlestick

Carrying the light

Flicking

Penetrating rays

Sunbeams

Flare

Dare to stand alone

I’m struggling myself

My very own soul

Mourns

The loss of the light

Especially at night

Sunless

Talking shadows

Of darkness

Unbelief

Then the sun

Rises

Glides back in

A great friend

Chasing away

Shades of the night

Gloom

We bloom

In the glaze

Of a new day

Gone is the grey

Leading us on a new

Pathway

Because of our truth

A heart light

Is Fortified

Exercised

Increased grace

Have the courage

To do right

Be a light.
