One evening she sat by the tub

The baby did Rub-a-Dub-Dub

Then there were troubles

and telltale bubbles...

Oh crap, now it’s mom’s turn to scrub!

***Author's Note***

This may or may not have been inspired by very recent events.

If you enjoyed this...

then you clearly need a nap.

***I’ve edited this to try to closer fit the syllable count and cadence guidelines for limericks as I have been reading and learning more about them. It is a work in progress :)

Donna this was great! I loved the pun in the end and the humour of your limerick! I'd venture a guess you had a lot of fun with this one, but maybe not the events that this limerick told of. 💩

If there is a syllable count, mine all failed, vocal didn't mention a word count. I loove the baby poem.

  • Oh I didn't know there were specific syllable counts for limerick. I just thought they were supposed to be 5 lines where it should rhyme as AABBA, lol. This was a funny limerick!

More memories of tubs sullied and naps untaken. They do grow up too fast though, and then... well, it's a whole new world! Nice work Donna.

Grab the baby out of the bath is what You must do Since the bubbles happened, the water quickly changed hue Drain the contents and flush them down the toilet with a cup from the sink Hurry now before the room starts to stink And make sure that the baby gets cleaned too
