Don’t you know?

Haven’t you heard?

It’s my name they can’t say.

That’s why I end up in the hard basket.

Don’t you know?

Haven’t you heard?

I don’t speak in their gibberish coded way.

That’s why I end up in the hard basket.

Don’t you know?

Haven’t you heard?

I wear my heart on my sleeve.

That’s why I end up in the hard basket.

Don’t you know?

Haven’t you heard?

It’s because I’m so trusting, I easily believe!

That’s why I end up in the hard basket.

Don’t you know?

Haven’t you heard?

I’m compassionate and direct.

That’s why I end up in the hard basket.

Don’t you know?

Haven’t you heard?

I don’t do as they expect.

That’s why I end up in the hard basket.

Don’t you know?

Haven’t you heard?

I’ve given up on what people may think.

That’s why I don’t care about their baskets.

Surely you know,

Surely, you’ve heard.

Follow your gut, trust your instinct.

That’s how you’ll stay out of their baskets.
