A game of catch, a bonding affair
In the pool, it floats with ease
A summer treat, a refreshing breeze
A basketball, a hoop and score
A sport of skill, a game to adore
A soccer ball, kicked to and fro
A team effort, a goal to grow
A ball of yarn, a cozy knit
A craft of love, a warm cocoon fit
A crystal ball, a glimpse of fate
A magical sight, a vision so great
Oh ball, you bring us so much cheer
A symbol of play, a time to be here
You bring us laughter, memories, and love
A ball, a toy from heaven above.

WARNING. I will be tapping into one of your favorite creative tensions: The absurdity of humans worshipping their glowing rectangles as if they were tiny oracles. There’s something deliciously poetic about that contradiction, and it lends itself beautifully to an instructive proviso.
