As a parent, you strive to be the best one you can be for your kids. However, some actions may be doing more harm than good, and you might not even be aware of it. From spoiling your kids, to being inconsistent when you discipline them, every parent has exhibited one or more of these behaviors. But once you become fully aware of them, you're ready to make some adjustments for the better.

Prepared to kick some bad parenting habits to the curb? Then click through the following steps

Feeling like you're failing

Doing everything for them

Fighting over the little things

Neglecting your romantic relationship

Overscheduling them

Neglecting to assign responsibilities

Overusing technology

Trying to be together 24/7

Spoiling them

Forgetting to teach them gratitude

Putting your needs on hold

Forcing them to eat

Rushing everywhere

Overspending

Ignoring bad behavior

Trying to be like other parents

Avoiding important conversations

Depending on electronics

Failing to teach street smarts

Being inconsistent in your discipline

Allowing the wrong friends

Blowing up at them

Forcing friendships on them

Trying to raise perfect kids

Neglecting the little moments

Overindulging in praise

Acting as though failure is bad

Living your life through theirs

Treating them like adults

I'm not a parent, far from it, but the lesson I got from this is not to overthink, and raise your kids to the best of your ability. Amazing poem by the way.
