Back At It

A gait as brisk
As the wind so passing
Bites my hands and face
Back again
So soon
Just like last time
But different as weather's caprices
And mercury is trapped in cylindrical free-fall
And red is its warning for me
As my blood curdles
To the helplessness
I feel when challenging
An entire planet
Perhaps I should stand down

Well-wrought! Seeds struggle to grow in darkness, my friend, and not all come to light, but every personal struggle increases the likelihood that the brilliance of the cosmos and the darkness of the earth will become one through the union of the tree. Or perhaps I should say, our struggles are never in vain, even if my own happens to be.
love this bit of deep eloquence, Gerard! tiny editorial thing- the word challenging on the third from botton line is missing an 'n'!
Sobering bit of poetry.
