Babinski
a character sketch of an untrustworthy man
By Erica NicolayPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

Babinski? Ho! Do I know him?
Why ask such questions on a whim?
He’s never angry, never cruel…
Of course, he only had a duel.
He’s humble, held up to a T.
(Unless you count what he told Lee.)
He’s smart, intelligent as fire!
Though also he is quite the liar.
He’s popular for being kind…
Until he dares to speak his mind.
He’s stopping by? Do I look scared?
Oh no! (but hide the silverware).
Speak to him? I’ll put in a word,
But nothing more; t’would be absurd.
Enjoy the gift of meeting him.
I’ll just be down the road. Bye, Jim!
